Programa
Daily classes with TEACHER
Geshe Michael Roach
Based on the book "The Steps on the Path" (Lam Rim), we will explore one of its most powerful teachings: the power of a kind heart and how we can overcome our selfishness by acting with love and compassion towards others, especially in difficult times. Learning from a master like Geshe Michael is a unique opportunity to understand and apply the instructions we need to find the inner strength necessary to overcome obstacles and improve our relationships with everyone around us. Once we develop a kind heart, we can change the world for the better, even beyond what we can imagine.

Meditation classes
The meditation program we offer is an opportunity to learn from meditators from the Asian Classics Institute, some with over 30 years of experience in the ancient practice of meditation and who have completed 3-year silent retreats. These masters come exclusively to Guadalajara to teach participants the foundations of starting a meditation practice and share their knowledge. In addition, the program will include guided meditations, discussions, and reflections on how to apply the teachings we will learn in our meditation to continue developing wisdom and our relationship with ourselves and others.

Yoga
Yoga is like an iceberg where the movements are just the tip. Below the surface lies the profound wisdom of how yoga works and why we experience the world the way we do. Most people only practice the physical aspect of yoga, the 'external practice', without realizing the unexplored potential that awaits them in its other half, the 'internal practice'. In our yoga classes, we focus on the connection between mind and body and are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

Other activities:
We offer a unique experience that includes various activities to enrich your body, mind, and spirit, such as dance classes, Tai Chi, healing sessions with a highly recognized "marakame" from the Wixárika community, and Buddhist ceremonies to purify your mind and heart. We also have fun and educational workshops for children and live music for everyone throughout the retreat. We look forward to welcoming you to an unforgettable experience!

We offer shuttle service with our trusted provider hired exclusively for the retreat. If you fly into the Guadalajara Miguel Hidalgo and Costilla International Airport, we can pick you up and take you to the retreat location: Hotel Villa Primavera. This trip has an approximate duration of 1.5 hours by car. Upon arrival at the Guadalajara airport, a member of the ACI Mexico team will meet you and stay with you until your shuttle departs for the retreat location.
The "Shuttle" service can be in a car or a van and is shared with other retreat participants who will arrive at a similar time as you, so you should expect a wait time at the airport of around 2 hours to allow for all participants to arrive from their different destinations. The cost per person for the shuttle (1 way) is as follows:
a) Trip from AIRPORT - HOTEL on July 5th is: $40 USD
b) Trip from HOTEL - AIRPORT on July 11th is: $35 USD
For specific requests for transportation service, for example:

b) Private taxi departure from the airport (not shared with other participants) upon arrival, i.e., without waiting for 1 to 2 hours.
c) Departure on a date other than those described above: before/after July 5th or 11th.
